In the past, WECR’s "Music with Integrity" policy has meant
that any music which does not speak of inappropriate behavior (i.e., drugs, sex, swearing, etc.) is acceptable music to play on the station. This definition allowed both Christian and secular music to be used by DJ’s.
After careful thought and prayer by the station directors, we have decided to change the definition of "Music with Integrity."
Music with integrity is holy music. It is set apart to bring glory to God. No matter what the content of the song is, whether it is praise music or pop, if it was written from the stand point of a Christian whose overall goal is to bring attention to God, then it is music with integrity. Music written with a purpose other then serving God is secular. If it is not for God, then it is against God.
WECR’s new policy of "Music with Integrity" allows only material by Christian Artists.
